Our Opportunity

 

Roster: 8/6 – FIFO ex Perth

 

Location: Cloudbreak - located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

 

This role is responsible for providing reliability engineering support to the maintenance team at the operational Ore Processing Facility (OPF). You will contribute to data analysis, reliability improvement projects, safety initiatives, and defect elimination strategies to ensure sustained asset performance while achieving cost and uptime objectives.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support the maintenance team during breakdowns by providing technical input and assisting with recovery plans and investigation reports.
  • Conduct 5 Why’s and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify failure causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead and complete defect elimination actions in collaboration with departments and suppliers.
  • Provide on-ground technical support during shutdowns to ensure smooth execution and minimise delays.
  • Contribute to the review and implementation of reliability strategies to drive continuous improvement in plant performance.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce OPEX without compromising reliability or safety.
  • Utilise SAP and other EAM/CMMS systems to analyse data, support planning, and manage reliability actions.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Trade qualification with relevant technical experience, or Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fixed plant or heavy industry environment, preferably in a site-based maintenance or reliability role.
  • Demonstrated planning, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or CMMS systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Competent in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Navisworks advantageous.
  • Strong organisational, scheduling, and coordination skills.
