Senior Analyst - Analytics and Reporting
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst - Analytics and Reporting to join our dynamic and high-performing Data, Reporting & Analytics team within the Project Services and Controls function. This team plays a critical role in tracking progress and performance across Fortescue’s transformational decarbonisation and major project portfolios. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain intuitive and responsive Power BI dashboards and reports.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality analytics solutions.

Build and optimise SQL-based data models and DAX measures to support scalable reporting.

Work with data engineers to develop robust and sustainable data pipelines.

Implement and maintain role-based access and row-level security within reports.

Ensure alignment with Fortescue’s visual design standards and branding templates.

Manage and maintain source code using Git for version control and documentation.

Support and maintain Power Automate workflows, Power Apps, and SharePoint list integrations.
Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in Power BI development with a strong portfolio of dashboards and visualisations.

Minimum 5 years' experience in SQL and/or Python for analytics and data modelling.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Mathematics, Business, Commerce, or a related field.

Experience working in project services, project controls, or within the resources sector highly desirable.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Strong understanding of data governance, integrity, and security best practices.

Experience with Git or other version control tools.

Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint) is a plus.
