Work Location:  Perth, Western Australia.  Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Fortescue’s Senior Corporate Finance team as a Corporate Finance Analyst. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, high-performance team responsible for the capital management of the Group. Efficient balance sheet management ensures that the Company has flexibility to support operations and the capacity to fund future growth and is critical to optimise return on capital.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Detailed financial analysis including cash flow model interrogation and scenario assessment
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation of various commercial documentation and offering memoranda for debt issuance
  • Lead debt compliance matters in collaboration with the broader business including Green Bond Allocation and Impact reporting
  • Provide rigorous analysis to support deal structuring
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly credit rating presentations and other debt and investor relations activities
  • Liaise with external parties including rating agencies, legal advisors, relationship banks and other funding partners
  • Modelling financing structures to support capital management, including project finance structures
  • Assist with the preparation of management briefing papers and board reports.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Demonstrated experience gained in a similar role in commercial accounting or corporate finance functions in either an ASX listed company or Investment Bank.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in analysis, modelling and supporting corporate finance transactions is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of domestic and international debt capital markets, and exposure to infrastructure or capital-intensive project funding
  • Previous experience conducting and completing due diligence
  • Preparation of debt transaction marketing materials
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively working in a team environment supporting corporate financing, and ability to interact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated advanced MS skills in Excel with the ability to develop and interrogate financial models independently, and producing high quality reports and presentations in PowerPoint
