Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday - Friday.
Join our team as a Senior Finance Analytics, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing management reporting and analysis within Fortescue. Your primary responsibility will involve leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of our reporting and analytical capabilities, enabling the company to understand our performance, make informed decisions and drive strategic planning.
Reporting to the Manager Finance Analytics & Insights for Fortescue’s Business Partnering Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design and maintain visually compelling reports/presentations using Power BI
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to help meeting reporting and analytical needs
- Collaborate with finance and operational departments to understand drivers, data and/or reporting needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Manage and maintain required databases and reporting hierarchies
- Analyse financial & non-financial datasets to extract meaningful insights
- Support delivery of regular executive level management reporting and presentations
Qualifications and Experience
- PL-300 Certification (highly desirable)
- CA/CPA qualification (desirable)
- Advanced proficiency in visualisation tools such as Power BI
- High level of business intelligence, finance analytics and data analytics
- Strong proficiency in data collection, manipulation and analysis using SQL
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights
- Excellent communication, strong leadership and business partnering abilities
- Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy
- Self-starter with a pragmatic and ‘can do’ attitude to problem solving, articulating, and providing solutions
- Experience with SAP (ERP) and Anaplan (Budgeting/Forecasting) (desirable)
- Advanced Excel & Power Point skills
