Our Opportunity

 

Work Location:  Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday

 

The primary purpose of this role is to support contract and procurement processes for the Capital Sustaining Projects Portfolio, in particular with respect to tendering of construction contract works and services, capital equipment and materials and post award contract administration and close-out

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate tender packages for works, services, and materials.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing to meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct sourcing activities in line with procurement and project control procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and structured contract documentation.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and value-adding opportunities.
  • Identify and assess key commercial risks during contract formation.
  • Maintain and update procurement and contract records for compliance and reporting.
  • Administer contracts during execution, including notices and correspondence.
  • Develop detailed pricing schedules and assess variations or extension of time claims.
  • Collaborate with project teams to drive competitive sourcing and effective contract outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in contract administration (mining, civil, SMP, or EIC sectors).
  • Strong understanding of contract formation, negotiation, and commercial principles.
  • Proficiency in contract management systems and reporting tools.
  • Degree in Commerce, Business, Law, or a related field (desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives.
  • Able to work effectively across multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
