Fortescue is on a mission to revolutionise the production and use of green metallic products. As we expand our presence in the green metals space, we are looking for an experienced, visionary Senior Manager – Green Metals Marketing to help shape the uptake of zero-carbon iron and green steel.
This is your opportunity to play a critical role in accelerating the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors like steelmaking, construction, and automotive manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the sales & marketing work program for green iron metal.
- Function as the primary link between the green metals production team and sales, marketing, and shipping.
- Support the commercialisation and strategic placement of green metallics in global markets.
- Collaborate with analysts to forecast market trends in global and regional metallics.
- Maintain price outlooks and Fortescue’s position on green steel supply and demand.
- Design and implement targeted marketing strategies to build demand for green iron.
- Build and maintain relationships with steelmakers, OEMs, and industry associations.
- Negotiate and develop offtake agreements for green iron products.
- Drive thought leadership by developing white papers, case studies, and press content on green metallics.
- Support global advocacy initiatives to accelerate the adoption of green steel.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree (or higher), preferably in a technical, engineering or commercial discipline.
- Proven experience in B2B sales and marketing in the iron and steel industry, ideally including green metal strategy and market development.
- Deep understanding of the iron and steel industry landscape, including decarbonisation trends and projects.
- Strong commercial acumen and the management of high stakes B2B relationships at both executive and technical management levels.
- Excellent communicator with a history of influencing at senior levels.
- Reasonable technical competence in steelmaking pathways for green metallics.
