Play a vital role in preserving Australia’s cultural heritage while supporting one of the world’s most innovative mining companies. Join Fortescue as a Senior People Logistics Coordinator and help us connect people, places, and purpose.
As a Senior Peoples Logistics Coordinator, you’ll be the key link between our operational and corporate teams, ensuring seamless mobilisation and logistical support across our Development and Compliance divisions. Reporting to the Manager First Nations Field, you’ll help ensure every field trip, site visit, and third-party engagement is smooth, safe, and culturally respectful.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside internal stakeholders, Traditional Owner groups, and heritage partners, making a meaningful contribution to responsible development and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinating mobilisation and onboarding of heritage consultants, Native Title Group representatives, and other third parties

Managing travel, accommodation, and helicopter logistics

Collaborating closely with internal teams including Travel, Special Charters, Mobilisation, and Exploration Camps

Liaising with external stakeholders including heritage consultancies and accommodation providers

Supporting reporting metrics and updating policies, procedures, and logistics guidelines

Assisting with accounts management and invoicing as required
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar logistics or mobilisation role (mining or resource sector preferred)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills – you’re confident communicating with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Tech-savvy – competent with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP; experience with AMEXGBT or similar travel management tools is a plus
- Exposure to accounts/invoicing processes is desirable
