Senior Planner & Scheduler Energy
Our Opportunity
Work location: Perth – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people
Roster: Monday to Friday (with occasional site travel)
Reporting to the Lead Planner of Energy Operations, this role will be responsible for ensuring best practice for Planning & Scheduling is in place to support the safe, cost-effective performance of Generation and Transmission assets across Pilbara Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with FMG standards and statutory obligations, embedding them into SAP.
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback and lead by example.
- Lead and support planning teams, both onsite and in the Perth office.
- Act as a liaison between key stakeholders to ensure master data aligns with FMG standards.
- Provide weekly reporting on key maintenance Metrics to drive improvement.
- Work with the Long-Term Planner, Ops Readiness and Asset management teams to implement maintenance strategies in SAP.
- Work with Strategic Planning to develop efficient dispatch plans and accurate run-hour estimates for quarterly and annual planning.
- Support weekly and shutdown planning teams to ensure effective execution of schedules.
- Provide input to maintenance budgeting requirements including forecasting, account reconciliation and reporting.
- Provide a strong focus on business improvement by owning and driving initiatives and achieving results.
- Assist in raising Capital Expenditure funds for projects within Energy Operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a Senior Maintenance Planner role or 5 years in a Maintenance Planning role.
- Demonstration of strong values-based leadership and people engagement skills.
- Advanced SAP user.
- Sound knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regulations.
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Analytical ability.
- Advanced organizational, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a large scale fast paced environment.
- Experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Strong understanding of work management principles.
- Maintenance Management qualifications highly regarded.
