Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a strong project team and overseeing the delivery of a group of CAPEX projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a strong project team to deliver a group of CAPEX projects.
  • Oversee project portfolio scheduling, forecasting, and spending.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to stakeholders.
  • Engage in long-term project planning and contract management.
  • Develop business cases and ensure adherence to company project frameworks.
  • Estimate and budget for projects.
  • Supervise projects from start to finish.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical, to achieve optimal project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety, regulatory, and governance standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of multi-discipline project delivery experience.
  • Proven experience in leading project teams.
  • Project management qualification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
