Fortescue Hydrogen Systems, Product Development team, is presently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our fast paced and high performing team to design cutting edge green hydrogen production systems.
In this role you will be working with a team of engineers on developing hydrogen test plants.
Scope will include from early concept and all activities to operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and documenting product development plans, schedules, budgets, cashflows, coordination, and monitoring assigned engineering projects including preparation of interim update reports, procurement activities, and presentations to management.
- Guiding the R&D Engineering project team to identify and satisfy key project deliverables as well as driving safety and safety workshops.
- Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Providing engineering input to complete Mechanical, Process, or EIC engineering deliverables, depending on your background.
- Developing specifications and scopes of work for the project.
- Managing external suppliers, contractors, and consultants to deliver scopes for project.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Mechanical, Process, or EIC, or equivalent study.
- Ideally 10+ years of experience working as a Project Engineer on complex, hazardous facilities including chemical processing, oil & gas, or power generation.
- Experience in delivering projects from early concept development through to operations.
- Prior exposure to technical and economic evaluations.
- Experience with Process Operations.
- Experience interfacing with external Contractors/Consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to help guide and support Engineers, technicians, and process operators as required.
