Our Opportunity

Location: Perth, Western Australia.  Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday - Friday

 

Join Fortescue as a Server/Storage Infrastructure Specialist, where you’ll design, manage, and optimise enterprise-level server, storage, and virtual environments that keep our operations running smoothly and securely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and secure Windows/Linux servers.
  • Manage AD, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and system resilience.
  • Deploy and support virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V/Nutanix) and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Ensure data protection, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide L3 technical support.
  • Implement security best practices for servers and storage.
  • Implement and maintain enterprise storage solutions.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, iSCSI, Fibre Channel).
  • Utilize monitoring tools to proactively detect issues (e.g., SolarWinds, Aria).

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in server/storage roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, virtualization, and enterprise storage (e.g. NetApp, Pure).
  • Experience with cloud, backups, and DR solutions.
  • Relevant certifications (MCSE, VCP, RHCSA) highly regarded.
  • Great communicator, problem-solver, and team player.
