Our Opportunity

Location: Eliwana/Flying Fish, Pilbara region, Western Australia (90 km west of Tom Price), on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Roster: 7 days, 7 nights, 14 off – FIFO from Perth and Busselton.

Join Fortescue’s new Flying Fish redesign at Eliwana as a Service Person, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our mining equipment. As part of this exciting new team, you’ll be responsible for the servicing, fuelling, and basic maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment, ensuring everything runs efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, fueling, and basic maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Fuel farm operations for heavy mobile equipment in active mining area. 
• Support the maintenance team by preparing equipment for scheduled maintenance.
• Record oil sample records to distribute to vendors. 
• Ensure all servicing tasks are completed efficiently and in line with Fortescue and site-specific safety procedures and policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in a service person or similar role working with heavy mobile equipment.
• Familiarity with mobile plant equipment and basic mechanical skills.
• High regard for safety and adherence to site safety protocols.
• HR Driver’s Licence
• HRWL – Forklift, Working at Heights, & EWP (preferred).
