Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people 

 

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth 

 

Reporting to the Senior Planner, the Shutdown Maintenance Planner is responsible for building fully resourced work orders ready for execution, inclusive of committed labour, materials & equipment, whilst adhering to mandated timelines and milestones. This is achieved through compliance of the Fortescue Work Management Process, and Iron Bridge Planning Standards.  

 

This role plays a pivotal part of ensuring maintenance works are planned effectively to safely maintain plant reliability & safety. This is a customer service centric function; the successful candidate will be required to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders proactively and effectively. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Scoping of malfunctioned, and defective assets that have been approved for maintenance to determine accurate job steps, durations, resource labour type, materials & equipment. 
  • Working with internal stakeholders and SME’s to drive technical feedback required to plan tasks adequately. 
  • Collaborating with external contractor partners to clearly communicate scoping requirements and ensure they meet the specified deliverables within the agreed timeframes. 
  • Responsible for presenting the correct works for execution based on operational requirements, priorities, and asset criticality. 
  • Responsible for ensuring that the scope of work presented for execution complies with established guidelines and restrictions. 
  • Work in partnership with the long-term planners to ensure master data integrity and strategy compliance.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • SAP PM Maintenance Planning and Master Data experience is essential. 
  • Strong understanding of Maintenance Planning fundamentals & Work Management processes.  
  • Must demonstrate exceptional resourcefulness, exhibit proactive behaviour, and consistently take the lead in initiating actions.  
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, strong attention to detail, good time management and must demonstrate strong adaptability & flexibility skills. 
  • Ability to work within a high performing, fast paced team whilst maintaining a positive & respectful culture. 
  • Mechanical or Electrical trade or Engineering qualification is advantageous.
