Shutdown Scheduler
Our Opportunity
Location: Christmas Creek, located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 4D3R - FIFO Ex Perth
The Shutdown Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing all shutdown scheduling activities at Fortescue's Christmas Creek Iron Ore Operation. This role ensures efficient, safe, and well-structured shutdown execution through meticulous planning and coordination with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Review maintenance work orders within the CMMS shutdown revisions for scope accuracy, ensuring alignment with stakeholders, maintenance coordinators, engineering/reliability teams, operations and vendors.
- Optimise scheduling efficiency through problem-solving and field knowledge to enhance safety and effectiveness.
- Continuously improve information management systems related to planning, scheduling, and shutdown processes.
- Develop and maintain shutdown schedules using SAP–MSP software integration.
- Track and manage schedules during execution, providing progress reports, evaluating critical path tasks and recommending corrective actions.
- Identify long-term shutdown deliverables and key planning milestones.
- Lead and facilitate meetings on shutdown preparedness and execution, including readiness updates, shutdown progress and pre-shutdown interactions.
- Develop resource requests in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in Plant Maintenance or Project Management (Mechanical/Electrical Trade Qualification highly regarded).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Project, Excel, Visio, and Word).
- Strong background in fixed plant maintenance and iron ore production processes.
- Experience in shutdown scheduling and execution.
- SAP application experience (highly regarded).
- Experience in shutdown maintenance planning or as a fixed plant supervisor (highly regarded).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to challenges during planning and execution phases.
