Structural Engineer
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth or Residential - Port Hedland - 8D/6R
Fortescue is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer who will provide day to day structural engineering tasks including inspections, assessment and reporting of defects on fixed plant assets, non-process infrastructures and balanced machines, review of drawings and calculations and design of non-complex structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Substantial experience on structural design and analysis
- Knowledge of mining equipment and fixed plant assets
- Sound understanding of Asset Management in line with inspection of mining equipment and infrastructure such as balanced machines, fixed plant assets, and non-process infrastructures
- Knowledge of geotechnical and civil works
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Structural)
- Membership in distinguished engineering institutions such as Engineers Australia
- Holds or ability to obtain Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- Holds a valid Western Australia C-class driver’s license
