Work Location:  Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday frequent site travel required

Fortescue is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our fast-paced and dynamic team, supporting the Eliwana Operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Finance Business Partner with the Eliwana Operations team to effectively support and manage financial performance.
  • Lead the coordination and delivery of annual budgets and quarterly planning cycles, covering both operating and capital expenditures.
  • Oversee the month-end process, identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and drive value-adding opportunities and business improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, providing critical financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and implement improvements in financial systems and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company accounting policies.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach a team of management accountants, fostering professional growth and capability.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in management accounting roles.
  • Operational or site experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial acumen with a comprehensive understanding of governance principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in SAP, with additional experience in Anaplan considered an advantage.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to identify and understand key business drivers, delivering insights and opportunities across multiple business units.
  • A degree in Finance, Commerce
  • Professional accounting qualifications (CPA or CA required).
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with the capability to communicate effectively across all levels of operations and senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive optimal performance.
