Fortescue is looking for a Superintendent Infrastructure Services. You will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance at Christmas Creek Minesite facilities, ensuring compliance with both Company and Statutory regulations. You will utilise your technical expertise to foresee potential issues and take proactive measures, collaborating closely with essential stakeholders and contracted partners. Your responsibilities encompass monitoring permanent structures, such as Dome Shelters, potable water and reverse osmosis plants, fuel logistics and storage, and overall facility operations. Additionally, you will lead contracted teams, overseeing operational aspects like waste management and fire/asset protection services to ensure a seamless delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the contracts of service providers and their supervision inclusive of but not limited to Waste Services, Structural Integrity, Registerable Plant, Fire Services and statutory compliance and a facility that is functionally sound in an operational sense.
- Managing multi-disciplinary teams of staff including, trades & maintenance (Carpenters, Plumbers, Refrigeration Technicians, Electricians), Fuel Unloading, Transfer & Operations, Village Ground Staff and any non-specific labour requirement to complete the scope or any emerging scopes.
- Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water, fuel, power, and all aspects of village facility maintenance inclusive of air conditioning are well-maintained.
- Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations, environmental, health and security standards.
- Advising businesses on increasing energy efficiency and driving cost avoidance / cost-effectiveness initiatives
- Overseeing building renovations or refurbishments
- Fiscal Management of all Operational & Sustaining Capital Budgets
- Quarterly Forecasting inline with Commercial Team / Business calendar
- Drafting reports and making written recommendations
- Setting Team Objectives and ensuring compliance at every level
- Collate, manage and administer execution and handover to internal stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated visible safety leadership.
- Demonstrated Emotional Intelligence & Empathy.
- Experience with Contract and Contractor Management.
- Experience in providing leadership and direction to a contract & owners team.
- +5yrs previous senior leadership experience in a similar role or with transferable skills
- Highly experienced in Work Management practices and detailed SAP knowledge
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills. Having the demonstrated ability to liaise and interact with individuals and groups of varying levels of authority.
- High level of organisation skills and an ability to meet deadlines whilst managing multiple functions simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and associated costs systems for control management and reporting functionalities.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, be self-directed and work under minimal supervision.
- High level of commitment for provision of quality services contributing to a positive team environment and drive a supporting culture.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with all MS Office suite of programs.
- Communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing
- Strong understanding of risk management Strong understanding of the Change Management Process
