 Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli people.

 

Roster: 8D/6X – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Karratha, Broome

 

As the Superintendent OPF Mechanical Maintenance, you will oversee all aspects of planned maintenance and implement best-in-class breakdown techniques. A steadfast commitment to risk reduction will underline your leadership, ensuring the team prioritises safety without compromise on project timelines.

With multiple assets across two high throughput ore processing facilities, this role is pivotal in ensuring safe and timely execution of planned maintenance schedules & breakdowns is maintained, whilst also supporting key maintenance activities in plant shutdowns. Multiple trades across different streams are guided through continuous improvement of our maintenance strategies ensuring our teams are effectively improving the fixed plant assets performance through improved reliability & availability.   

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee management and guidance of multiple vendor partners who support processing plant maintenance activities
  • Accountability for work management KPI’s within execution teams ensuring compliance and continuous improvement
  • Coach, guide & lead multiple execution teams across different areas and disciplines through strong safety engaging leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across both processing plants ensuring reliability and availability are maintained or improved.
  • Liaising with other disciplines within the processing facilities ensuring collaborative approach to maintenance activities whilst maintaining high productivity
  • Championing safety accountability and spearhead root cause analysis investigations to proactively prevent or mitigate risks

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Proven track record in Ore processing plant operations and maintenance experience essential
  • Demonstrated tenure in senior leadership roles within the mining industry or similar heavy industries preferred 
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications preferred
  • Contractor management experience preferred
  • Experience with business improvement, finance & work mgmt platforms such as Anaplan, SAP, Power BI
