Location: Eliwana - Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people (PKKP), located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, 90 kilometres west of Tom Price.
Roster: 4D3R Monday - Thursday FIFO ex Perth
Step into a leadership role where you can make a genuine impact on people, culture, and performance. As Superintendent People, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping an engaged, empowered, and high-performing workforce at Fortescue’s Eliwana Operations.
Reporting to the Group Manager People and Employee Relations, you’ll partner with leaders and teams to deliver strategic people initiatives, champion our values, and help drive the success of one of Australia’s most innovative mining companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a high-energy team, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Drive strategic impact using people insights and analytics to shape workforce planning and engagement strategies.
- Be a trusted advisor to leaders – guiding them on engagement, diversity, performance and leadership development.
- Partner with integral stakeholders to drive aligned and well-supported outcomes for workgroups.
- Champion our values ensuring Fortescue remains a great place to work where people feel valued and supported.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Human Resources or similar
- Established experience as a Business Partner or People and Culture generalist
- Ability to lead and manage large projects and initiatives
- Excellent coaching skills, with the ability to build relationships with leaders and stakeholders across all levels, functions, and locations
- Creative problem-solving skills, including through data analysis, understanding trends, and developing recommendations
- A personal alignment with Fortescue’s values
