Roster:

4D:3R,4D:3R, 8D:6R – FIFO ex Perth or Residential Port Hedland
 

Fortescue is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking leader to join our team in Port Hedland on a residential or FIFO roster. This is a key leadership position in the RSM team and vital to continuous improvement of safety, our people and productivity.

As part of the Rail Rolling Stock leadership team, you will report to the Manager - Rolling Stock Maintenance on a 4/3, 4/3, 8/6 days roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership of our teams at our ore car and wheel shop workshop in Port Hedland
  • Leadership, development and mentoring of our supervisors and team members to enhance a positive culture to become the best we can be.
  • Working in collaboration with our RSM Locomotive, Planning and Rail Engineering teams to safely execute preventative, corrective and improvement works on ore cars and wheel shop fixed plant equipment.
  • Lead and support all aspects of reliability centred maintenance across the ore cars and wheel shop fixed plant equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous proven experience in similar leadership position, with experience in leading high performing successful teams with positive results in safety and culture improvement performance
  • Dynamically adapt to support continuous change and improvement.
  • Experience in a mining production environment experience in mining production or operational oriented heavy industrial environment
  • Support our team to deliver the business drivers and adapt our team to the business strategy.
  • Trade or degree not essential but favourable
  • Nationally recognised Leadership qualifications
