Fortescue is seeking a dynamic Supervisor Autonomous Field Builder to drive efficiency and safety in our cutting-edge operations.
As the Supervisor Autonomous Field Builder, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our autonomous haulage systems. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring effective integration between autonomous and traditional operations while maintaining a focus on efficiency, safety, and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of autonomous haulage systems within our fleet, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
- Lead and Support: Provide strong leadership to your team, offering clear instructions and support to drive high performance and adherence to company values.
- Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies for efficiency improvements, utilizing your expertise to streamline processes and enhance operational outcomes.
- Safety Oversight: Champion a robust safety vision, enforcing best practices, maintain rigorous safety standards across all operations, assist in the creation and upkeep of critical safety documentation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with multiple stakeholders from various departments, ensuring clear, effective communication to align on goals and address any issues.
- On-the-Ground Supervision: Act as the eyes on the ground for autonomous machinery, monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring seamless integration with manned operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Fleet Management Experience: Proven track record in managing fleet operations, with a strong understanding of both autonomous and traditional haulage systems.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage high performing teams effectively.
- Mining Operations Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mining operations and the technical aspects of autonomous haulage systems.
- Efficiency Driven: History of driving performance improvements and optimizing operational processes.
- Safety Vision: Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and promoting a culture of safety.
- Supportive Leadership: Ability to inspire and support a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to liaise with and collaborate across various departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
