Our Opportunity

 

Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

 

Roster: 7D7N14R

 

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor with relevant mining experience within an Ore Processing Facility or similar environment to lead and support our crews in carrying out planned tasks, breakdown repairs and assisting shutdown teams when required. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Providing leadership and support to a diverse team of trade personnel
  • Driving a positive team safety culture
  • Managing the electrical team’s day to day planned works and breakdowns
  • Maintaining electrical compliance within the fixed plant
  • Driving safe systems of work within the team
  • Working in conjunction with all maintenance teams on scheduled works

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current WA Electrical Licence
  • High Voltage Ticket and experience with HV Switching
  • Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
  • Previous leadership experience, preferably within an iron ore processing plant
  • Experience with computer-based maintenance systems
