Work Location: Cloudbreak mine site (Chichester Hub)

 

  • Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples

 

Roster: 7D7N/14R FIFO ex. Perth, Broome, Karratha

 

The Supervisor Drill Maintenance will be reporting to the Drill Maintenance Superintendent. This position is a leadership role responsible for leading and mentoring a team of trades-based personnel to safely deliver availability and reliability. The key to success in this role is willingly and consistently promoting excellence through application of values and visual leadership. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure Maintenance Management based systems meet OEM and Fortescue standards.
  • Promote and foster a positive safety culture within the Mobile Maintenance team with adherence to Fortescue policies and procedures
  • Drive safety, cost and quality, identifying optimisation of fleet
  • Ensure Maintenance Supervision and Trade personnel have adequate qualifications and experience, including on site VOC's
  • Identify areas of improvement for machine availability
  • Ensure all incidents and hazards are managed in BMS
 
 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Experience as a Maintenance Supervisor role, or similar leadership position
  • Experienced in developing and leading a Safety Leadership culture and working with safety management systems.
  • High level of technical experience and knowledge of mining technology and mobile maintenance fleets
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor and train a diverse workshop team
  • HD Fitter qualification HME
  • Experience in Planning and scheduling (Preferable)
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Knowledge of Mines Regulations and Act and Occupational, Health and Safety legislation and other relevant legislation and regulations
