Our Opportunity

Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

 

Roster: 8D6R

 

Fortescue is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead the NPI Carpentry, Plumbing and Trades Assistant team for Infrastructure Services Solomon.

 

This permanent full-time position will consist of ensuring work management is performed safely, effectively and in a timely manner. Reporting to the NPI Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure contractors within your scope of work meet the contractual agreements in place with FMG. KPI’s regarding quality, levels of safety requirements and other services provided by them shall be completed and maintained in accordance with the contract, FMG requirements and any legislative regulations.
  • Ensure all necessary maintenance inspections and audits of the sites and related facilities are completed within allocated time frames. Actions arising from those inspections are completed in a satisfactory and planned manner.
  • Ensure all maintenance plans are completed and work is carried out in a timely and satisfactory manner and to a high quality.
  • Ensure sufficient stocks are maintained and resources on site to service site requirements.
  • Ensure relevant Maintenance management documents and associated files are updated and copies maintained.
  • Provide advice to Superintendent and Manager on any proposed works required at our sites (particularly major works / CAPEX).

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in providing leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Trade qualified or minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills. Having the demonstrated ability to liaise and interact with individuals and groups of varying levels of authority.
  • High level of organisation skills and an ability to meet deadlines whilst managing multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and associated costs for control management and reporting functionalities.
  • High level of commitment to the provision of quality services and contributing to a positive team environment.
