Position Title: Supervisor - Structural Remediation
Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 14D14R (2:2)
Role overview:
We are currently seeking a Fixed Plant Structural Supervisor to join our new and high performing Structural execution team at Christmas Creek reporting to the Structural Coordinator
In this role you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising a team of fabricator/welders
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure team activities are aligned with the overall business objectives
- Ensure Compliance to skills training matrix for self and direct reports
- Conduct field interactions and complete incident investigations in BMS
- Identify, develop and publish SWI’s
- Maintain OPF budget and safety performance, ensuring targets are met
- Follow safe systems of work
- Ensure all tasks are completed to a safe, high and compliant standard
Qualifications and Experience
- Fabrication trade background and or engineering qualification - essential
- Fixed plant experience or construction background – essential
- Previous experience in a leadership position
- Mining sector experience - desirable
- Strong focus on safety
- Demonstrated teamwork and continuous improvement aptitude
