Our Opportunity
Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 14D14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra. With the potential requirement to work night shifts during shutdowns.
We are currently seeking a Fixed Plant Structural Supervisor to join our new and high performing structural execution team at Christmas Creek. In this role you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising a team of fabricators and trade assistants to execute tasks safely and within a compliant standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure team activities are aligned with the overall business objectives
- Adhere to skills training matrix for self and direct reports
- Conduct field interactions and complete incident investigations in BMS
- Identify, develop and publish SWI’s
- Maintain Fixed Plant budget and safety performance, ensuring targets are met
- Ensure all tasks are completed to a safe, high and compliant standard
Qualifications and Experience
- Fabrication trade background and or engineering qualification - essential
- Fixed plant experience or construction background – essential
- Previous experience in a leadership position
- Mining sector experience - desirable
- Strong focus on safety
- Good understanding of structural compliance standards
- Demonstrated teamwork and continuous improvement aptitude
