Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster: Monday to Friday

 

Fortescue’s Land Management Systems are vital to the success of our operations, incorporating multiple software platforms such as Infoscope, PX4, and Exploration Approvals.

 

These systems play an essential role across various business functions and are expanding within the company. Key areas include Tenement Management, Program of Works applications, Exploration Approvals, Land Clearing/Ground Disturbance, Land Access, Agreements, and Expenditure. A key focus of the role is the integration of LMS with our GIS applications to support our global operations.

 

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing all LMS applications and managing the entire system lifecycle—from planning and analysis through to testing and deployment. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to fully understand their needs and expectations, translating them into both functional and technical specifications. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our Land Management Systems in a dynamic and global business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the LMS team, and ensure that the existing systems are meeting the quality, performance, and security standards required
  • Ticket management for fixes and enhancements, liaising with vendors and managing priorities
  • Monitoring the overall performance and health of the multiple platforms and managing any issues with the vendors
  • System testing and reporting post General Production Releases
  • Development and management of new process systems, including managing working groups, Proof of Concept systems and detailed analyses of development processes
  • Developing GIS-related integration with the GIS team

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2+ years IT experience
  • Knowledge of database management and programming languages, such as SQL and HTML
  • Knowledge of Mining industry processes and requirements
  • Ability to analyse and model data, requirements, and workflows
  • Soft skills including effective communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing needs and technologies
  • Dealing with complex and dynamic systems, managing multiple stakeholders and expectations, ensuring alignment and integration of the systems
