Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
The Technology Site Specialist - Perth role is responsible for providing exceptional IT support to all users within the Perth region, including metro areas and surrounding satellite offices. This role involves delivering face-to-face assistance through our Tech Hub by providing a point of contact for all users in this location, providing on-site support at user desks, and supporting the HIVE (remote operations centre).
The role is responsible for managing and maintaining support documentation, and adhering to ITIL practices for effective incident, request, change, and problem management. Additionally, they manage correct stock levels by leveraging Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and work closely with other resolver groups within the larger Fortescue Integrated Technology (FIT) team to ensure a positive experience and drive user happiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for technology queries across Perth and surrounding offices, providing both face-to-face and remote support
- Manage hardware assets and stock levels using ServiceNow, ensuring accurate inventory and efficient deployment
- Support our critical operations in the HIVE by troubleshooting desktop-level incidents and requests
- Ensure compliance with ITIL/ITSM best practices, covering incident, request, change and problem management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency enhancements
Qualifications and Experience
- Support: 3+ years in a similar IT support role, preferably in a corporate environment
- ITSM Framework: Proven experience in handling incidents, requests, changes, and problems according to ITIL practices
- ITAM Framework: Experience with Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and maintaining IT stock levels
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles and practices for effective IT Service Management
- Advanced problem analysis and problem-solving skills with Networking, Server & Storage, Microsoft 365, and hardware
- Proficiency in various operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
