Our Opportunity

 

Location: Eliwana/Flying Fish, Pilbara region, Western Australia (90 km west of Tom Price), on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

 

Roster: 7 days, 7 nights, 14 off – FIFO from Perth and Busselton.

 

Join the exciting new team at Fortescue’s Flying Fish redesign at Eliwana as a Tool Store Person. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the tool store, ensuring that all equipment and tools are organised, maintained, and readily available for our maintenance teams. Your role will be key to the smooth operation of the site, as you support the ongoing maintenance and repair work that keeps our large-scale mining equipment running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the daily operations of the tool store, ensuring all tools and equipment are organised and easily accessible.
  • Issue tools and equipment to maintenance teams and track their usage.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and ensure that all tools are properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Coordinate the repair and replacement of tools as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all tool transactions and ensure compliance with Fortescue and site-specific safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Previous experience in a tool store or warehousing management role, ideally within the mining or industrial sector.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • High regard for safety and adherence to site safety protocols.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • HR Driver’s Licence.
  • High Risk Working License - Forklift
