Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

 

Roster: 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth 

 

Fortescue is seeking a dynamic and passionate Trainer and Assessor with a strong understanding of Drill & Blast operations to join our Iron Bridge training team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Drill and Blast operations Training and Assessing
  • Deliver Fortescue specific Training and Assessments including Verification of Competency Assessments
  • Facilitation of classroom-based Training Inductions
  • Hands-on approach to teamwork, positive attitude and superior customer service skills are essential
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work without supervision
  • Administrative and scheduling duties as required; well organised, excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Drill and Blast practices and technical systems with the ability to train content in a professional manner
  • Shotfirer ticket
  • Experience operating: Epiroc D65 and CAT MD6310 (Autonomous Drill experience is preferred but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Safety Act and Regulations
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft office suite
