Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 8 Days 6 Off
We are currently seeking a Trainer and Assessor with substantial on-site experience to join our team. This position will provide Training and Assessing requirements to our Training Delivery Team.
You will be responsible and accountable for training, coaching and improving our loading unit and ancillary fleet operators skills and complete efficacy assessments.
You will maintain your knowledge with WHS 2022 legislation and standards in place for electrical excavators implemented at CB operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Train, deliver, coach and develop mining operators on mobile equipment to FMG standards
- Compliance to WHS 2022 act and regulations
- Develop training plans and identify training needs analysis
- Data driven capabilities to enable production operators to achieve safe and efficient operations by continuously improving
- Identify and lead improvements in operator performance and training processes
- Well organised and time management skills
- Hands on approach and promotes a positive culture aligned to the Fortescue values
- Liaising with key stakeholders
- Effective communication skills
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate 4 in workplace assessment and training desired but not essential
- Experience with autonomous operating systems is essential
- 5 years experience on large Excavators and Wheel loaders in a production environment
- Experience with ancillary equipment
- Experience with electric face shovels and cable handling equipment
- Working with Simulators
