Tyre Technician
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Christmas Creek, located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra.
We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Tyre Fitters to join our Mobile Maintenance team at Christmas Creek. In this hands-on role, you'll carry out tyre maintenance, inspections and repairs on a range of heavy mobile equipment (HME), supporting our operations in achieving safe, reliable and efficient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- All aspects of tyre maintenance on heavy mobile equipment and light vehicles
- Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections to the required standard of performance and safety
- Work in accordance with Fortescue procedures and work instructions
- Absolute commitment to safety and following site safety procedures
- Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a similar tyre fitting role within mining or heavy industry
- Current Cert II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (or equivalent)
- High level of safety awareness and commitment to following procedures
- HR Licence and forklift ticket (advantageous)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
