Our Opportunity

Work Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

 

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex. Perth

 

Duration: 12 Months Contract

The Warehouse Coordinator will provide remote support to the Superintendent, assisting with operational improvements. This role is responsible for leading initiatives that drive process improvement, operational efficiency, and standardisation of practices across all warehouse workgroups. A strong commitment to safety, service delivery excellence, and continuous improvement is essential. The Coordinator will also manage project work, identify opportunities for operational enhancements, and maintain effective engagement with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced operational strategy experience, strong leadership skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to support the development and performance of Pilbara warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and implementing standardised process to improve service delivery.
  • Inventory management, to reduce working capital, improve efficiency, and maximise use of current infrastructure.
  • Optimise warehouse resources for maximum operational efficiency and reduced cost.
  • Analyse data on warehouse performance, and lead initiatives in technology to improve automation and further improve in efficiency, reducing error margins.
  • Short-term and long-term planning, to scope for future growth and transition to decarbonisation strategies.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration: To provide end-to-end solutions, engagement with Perth based optimisation, procurement, inventory, and logistics teams, acting as liaison to operational planning and management teams.
  • Ability to scope capital project improvements, and support in implementation and management of projects to fruition.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to analyse data and task relationships, and to be able to prioritise tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory management, warehousing operations, and logistics best practices, preferred.
  • Strong transactional use/understanding of SAP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including excel spreadsheet creation/analysis via pivot tables.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of outline agreements, change management process, category principles.
  • Talent for recognising opportunities for process improvement in the logistics/supply environment.
