Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people

 

Roster: Monday – Friday - Residential in Hedland

 

The role is offered on a fixed-term basis until October 2026. 

 

The residential, Hedland-based Community Administration and Support position is responsible for providing administration support to Fortescue's Community Office in South Hedland, and representing Fortescue through a variety of community-related activities, forums and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the South Hedland Fortescue Community office and respond to all visitor, phone and email enquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Provide administration support to the Pilbara Community team as required including the Pilbara Community Grants program and local sponsorships.
  • Responsible for all data entry including, updating and maintaining spreadsheets, submitting purchase order requests and processing invoices.
  • Represent Fortescue at community events and on key committees, which involves weekend and after hour events.
  • Provide Fortescue Pilbara residential staff with regular information about community activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administration or a communication role.
  • Qualification and/or previous experience in community activities, not for profits, events or similar field desirable.
  • High computer literacy with demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly to different systems.
  • Proficient in data management and reporting.
  • High level professional communication skills, including written communication.
  • High level interpersonal skills - ability to interact with a variety of people in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be competent in operating a manual vehicle.
