Electrical Supervisor
Our Opportunity
Work location: Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people
Roster: 8 days on 6 off FIFO OR RESIDENTIAL
Reporting to the Electrical maintenance Maintenance Superintendent this maintenance position offers a key role for our Port Electrical team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of Electrical Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and lead a team of Electrical Technicians and Permit Coordinators, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and standards
· Manage work schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor the progress of electrical projects.
· Oversee the management of High Voltage transformers, switchgear, and associated assets.
· Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex electrical issues on-site.
· Coordinate with contractors for maintenance tasks and project execution.
· Collaborate with the Energy & Power team to address site power requirements and configure the HV network.
· Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, regulations, and company procedures.
· Oversee the management and maintenance strategies for Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
· Utilize and be proficient in the SAP Work Management System for operational efficiency
· Lead the maintenance strategy for instrumentation on site
Qualifications and Experience
· Engineering or electrical trade qualification is a must with a Current A Grade Electrical Licence, candidates with significant electrical maintenance experience also highly regarded.
· At least 5 years supervisory experience in a similar role leading a team of electricians
· Experience in High Voltage, VSD, and Motor electrical maintenance including electrical systems designed for train unloaders, large scale conveyor belts and balance machines
· Experience with fixed plant commissioning
· Troubleshooting capacity of complex electrical systems
· Work management knowledge, including SAP systems
