At Fortescue, we understand that reliable plant performance starts with smart planning. We’re currently seeking a proactive Long Term Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic team. This role reports to the Senior Long Term Planner and plays a critical part in ensuring our maintenance and shutdown plans are fully scoped, resourced, and ready for flawless execution.
You’ll work closely with plant maintenance and shutdown execution teams, all with one goal in mind — delivering a safe, reliable, and well-maintained plant for our operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Build fully resourced Work Orders (WOs) that are execution-ready
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and the Reliability team to review and optimise WOs
- Confirm availability of rotables and parts ahead of schedule
- Develop and maintain forward works programs for plant equipment
- Coordinate and track projects using PES and DCRM systems
- Support monthly PM05 forecasting and adjust based on work churn
- Identify OPEX tasks linked to CAPEX projects
- Analyse shutdown outcomes and refine master data accordingly
- Action master data updates and support long-term scheduling strategies
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance planning within mining, heavy industry, oil & gas, or manufacturing
- Deep understanding of Work Management Processes, including WO preparation and rotable planning
- Strong SAP skills for planning, scheduling, and master data management
- Advanced Excel capability — pivot tables, formulas, data analysis for forecasts and reports
- Experience collaborating with Engineering, Maintenance and Reliability teams
- Familiarity with shutdown planning, cost tracking (PM05), and continuous improvement
- Ability to forecast workloads and adjust to shifting priorities
