- Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO from Perth
The Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor role reports directly to the OPF Electrical Maintenance Superintendent and will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Electricians to safely deliver world class availability and reliability. This will also include but not limited to managing plant electrical maintenance functions in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, enabling the Fixed Plant Operations to meet the present and future needs of operational requirements; and managing the electrical maintenance activities with a continuous improvement and reliability philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective Supervision and Management of fixed plant maintenance personnel.
- Ensure that a level of competent leadership within team is maintained at all times.
- Ensure development and succession plans are implemented to achieve a desirable workplace culture.
- Ensure current role descriptions are available for team members that set clear expectations and standards for team members.
- Ensure that a system is in place to ensure that all Life Saving Choices, Major Hazards Program, procedures, processes and SWIs specific to OPF maintenance are complied with and understood.
- Report and escalate incidents in a precise and timely manner
- Establish relationships with internal and external customers and contract service providers.
- Maintain KPI’s to provide up to date weekly monthly reporting to management and other stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience
- Fixed Plant Electrician (Electrical Trade) qualification compliant with Australian standards (Essential)
- WA Driver’s License (Essential)
- Relevant qualification(s) in frontline management, leadership. (Desirable)
- Section 44/26 (Desirable)
- Minimum 7 years previous experience in a large mining operation with a minimum of 2 years as an appointed electrical supervisor
- A proven ability to coach, mentor and train team reports
- Experience in Planning and scheduling (Preferable)
