Our Opportunity

 

  • Work Location: Hedland Operations – Rail.

     

     

    Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people. 

     

     

Roster: 8/6 Perth FIFO

 

 

Reporting to the Superintendent Track Maintenance, this position offers a key leadership role for our Track Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Trades and non-trades-based personnel to safely deliver a high standard of leadership and to consistently promote excellence through application of values and visual leadership with a diverse working group. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Leading a core team of diverse personnel within the maintenance Service team supporting our tool store team, managing inhouse projects and contractors
  • Oversee completion of compliance inspections and maintenance on track infrastructure 
  • Provide contract support for third party Maintenance vendors
  • Implementation of maintenance improvement projects.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Previous Supervisory experience within a Rail Maintenance or Fixed Plant Maintenance space.
  • Proficient user of computer maintenance management systems – SAP & Microsoft Office
  • Ability to undertake quality risk assessments
  • Demonstrated high level of leadership skills
  • Excellent management and organisational skills, with a high attention to detail
  • A proven ability to coach, mentor and train a diverse team
  • Ability to work with other departments to achieve objectives, team oriented
  • Proven commitment to principles of safety and zero harm
