Work Location: Solomon
Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 14D14R– FIFO ex Perth and Busselton
Fortescue is seeking skilled Civil Operators to join our OPF teams at the Solomon. Reporting to the Day crew Supervisor you be responsible for the up keep of hygiene within the Ore Processing Facilities along with integrating within the Fixed Plant Operations teams. Successful candidates will be responsible for the use and up keep of small ancillary equipment such as:
- Skid steers
- Excavators
- Loaders
- Water carts
- Tipper trucks
Applicants need to have strong communication skills and work well within a team environment as well as working independently.

- Maintain all assets to operational capacity whilst consistently striving to increase process efficiency

- The ability to follow processes and procedures
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, contributing to team goals and supporting colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to skillfully operate Skid steer, loaders, tipper / water carts and excavators
- Mobile equipment operation in the surface mining industry is essential
- Ability to use SAP, BMS and other company software
- A valid WA HR Driver's License is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work within a diverse team in a positive manner
- Previous Fixed plant Experience (desirable not essential).
