Our Opportunity

 

Work Location:  Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

 

Roster:  8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth

 

During this exciting time at Fortescue, with innovation projects changing the way we work in mining, we are currently seeking a qualified Trainer and Assessor with substantial High Risk Training experience to join our team.

 

This position will provide the Training and Assessing requirements to our site teams. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitation of High Risk Operations Training and Assessing
  • Delivery of Fortescue specific Training and Assessments including Verification of Competency Assessments
  • Maintain accurate and compliant training records, including digital training matrices for personnel, to ensure needs are met
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work without supervision
  • Well organised and excellent time management skills with strong attention to details skills
  • Hands on approach to teamwork, positive attitude and superior customer service skills are essential
  • Administrative and scheduling duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment
  • WorkSafe Assessor Accreditation
  • Proven experience and specialist skills in the specific high-risk work areas being taught
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Mining practices and technical systems with the ability to train content in a professional manner
  • Licensed to train and deliver
    • Dogging (DG) HRWL
    • Forklift (LF) HRWL
    • Crane (CN / CV) HRWL
    • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) HRWL
    • Working at Heights (NUOC)
    • Confined Space Entry and Gas Testing (NUOC)
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • SAP / LMS experience highly regarded
