Our Opportunity

Work Location: Eliwana; Pilbara region, Western Australia (90 km west of Tom Price), on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people

 

Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off – FIFO ex Perth

We are currently seeking an experienced Shotfirer to join our Drill and Blast team at Eliwana. Reporting to the Blast Supervisor, you will be required to provide sufficient quantity and quality of blasted stock for mining or processing and, ensure all drill and blast activities are conducted in a safe and cost-efficient manner.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote rigorous compliance to Zero Harm principles on a daily basis ensuring that all works completed are risk assessed and hazards mitigated whilst being adequately controlled
  • Operation of machinery in a safe and efficient manner ensuring all associated equipment is maintained to a high standard 
  • Ensuring a high standard of all drill & blast patterns 
  • A commitment to continuous improvement strategies and generating ideas to improve production and safety 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Australian Class C Driver's Licence
  • Dangerous Goods Security Clearance
  • Current WA Shotfirer's Licence
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience within the mining industry 
  • Mobile equipment operation experience highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regulations
