Fortescue are seeking experienced Infrastructure Electricians to join our infrastructure services team on a fulltime basis. This is a great opportunity to join a team of qualified tradespersons, responsible for maintaining and repairing Fortescue's non-processing infrastructure.

 

Work Location: Across all Fortescue Pilbara Operations - predominately Port Hedland

 

Roster: 14D14R – FIFO ex Perth

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Carry out planned and breakdown repairs around mine and village infrastructure
  • Use of SAP to create notifications, close out work orders and time confirmations
  • Actively participate in daily, toolbox and safety meetings
  • Comply with company procedures, policies, and lifesaving choices at all times
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments prior to undertaking tasks
  • Report all hazards and incidents within the workplace
  • Coach, mentor and develop apprentices to become high quality tradespeople

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Qualification 
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence
  • Current WA 'A' class electrical workers license
  • Previous electrical experience maintaining non-processing infrastructure in a mining environment
  • Experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Variable Speed Drives
  • Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
