Fortescue is seeking an experienced Injury Prevention Specialist to support health and safety outcomes across our operational sites. This role is responsible for delivering injury prevention strategies, treating onsite musculoskeletal injuries, managing workers’ compensation cases, and coordinating return-to-work programs. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, proactive safety leadership, and a collaborative approach to workforce wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver injury prevention programs and manual handling education across site departments
  • Provide onsite physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and injury management planning
  • Coordinate return-to-work programs and manage workers’ compensation claims in line with WA legislation
  • Maintain accurate injury data and prepare reports for leadership and regulatory bodies
  • Conduct ergonomic and musculoskeletal risk assessments in the workplace
  • Support compliance with hygiene standards and conduct AOD testing as required
  • Lead site health and wellness initiatives in collaboration with corporate health teams

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy and current unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 3 years’ clinical physiotherapy experience, preferably in mining or resources
  • Proven experience in injury prevention, return-to-work coordination, and claims management
  • Strong knowledge of WA workers’ compensation legislation and rehabilitation practices
  • Skilled in workplace ergonomic assessments and delivering health & wellness initiatives
  • Valid driver’s licence, current NPC, professional insurances; AOD testing qualification desirable
