Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Hedland Operations. Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people. This role is located at the Anderson Point offices.

 

Roster: The roster is 4/3 FIFO ex. Perth as agreed by management; or 4/3 residential

 

This exciting opportunity involves identifying and implementing changes to be made to our existing Port Facility infrastructure to ship both Hematite and Magnetite products. We are looking for an electrical engineer with reliability and project execution experience who demonstrates good leadership and communication skills.

 

This role will be accountable for identifying reliability issues and working with the Magnetite Project Coordinator to ensure all project deliverables are identified and met within the associated timelines, while remaining within designated budget.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Identifying reliability issues within the existing plant
  • Strategising solutions to rectify reliability issues and optimise plant productivity
  • Review and plan projects with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations teams
  • Build initial scope of work, cost estimates and project timelines
  • Raise notifications in SAP
  • Tender / Engage vendors
  • Order and track long lead items
  • Ensure Shutdown Readiness is adhered to
  • Attend Shutdown interface meetings
  • Identify improvement projects
  • Implement and manage project execution both online and offline
  • Track project budgets and provide reforecasts
  • Update/create drawings, master data, inspection checklists, redlines and other associated documents
  • Manage Work Order Backlog
  • Close out completed projects

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Experience in Mining/Heavy Industrial environment
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  • Competency in SAP (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Project, Word, Power Point (Essential)
