** 12 month Fixed Term Contract **

 

We are seeking an experienced AHS Mine Controller / Fleet Management System specialist who is passionate about training to fill the Mine Controller Trainer and Assessor position for 12 months within the HIVE Operations Training team.

 

Reporting to the Superintendent HIVE Operations Training, this role will focus heavily on the standardisation of skills and optimisation of the MineStar fleet management system for the Mine Controllers located at the HIVE, Fortescue's Integrated Operations Centre in Perth. As the Mine Controller Trainer and Assessor, you will deliver on the job training, upskilling and mentoring to existing Mine Controllers as well as training and assessing new starters to the role.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coaching and mentoring of Mine Controllers within the Mine Control teams 
  • Conducting assessments and re-assessments of team members in line with Fortescue’s Training and Assessment Procedure and Standards
  • Completion and submission of all required documentation in support of training delivery
  • Conducting upskilling and skills standardisation training across the business for Mine Controllers
  • Conduct quality assurance audits as required
  • Identify and act on opportunities for continuous improvement within the training environment to provide world class training and learning experiences
  • Proactively work with key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure the continual success of the Autonomous Haulage System

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Demonstrated experience working with a load and haul fleet management system such as MineStar, Modular, Frontrunner or Leica Jigsaw with the ability to understand and explain the blend utility and assignment decisions
  • Experience delivering relevant and engaging training to a diverse range of learners
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use all programs within the Microsoft suite
  • TAEDEL311- Provide work skill instruction or equivalent and NAT10898001 – Carry out workplace assessments or equivalent, or TAE40110 / TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Advanced knowledge of the MineStar Command for Hauling Fleet Management System from an operational controller aspect
  • Experience operating in an open cut mining environment
