The Verification Coordinator leads a cross-functional team of test engineers, test automation specialists, and field verification engineers. Working closely with product management, systems architecture, and development teams, the role drives defect resolution, risk mitigation, and readiness reporting—ensuring reliable, safe, and high-performing deployment of autonomous mining systems.

  • Lead end-to-end verification strategy across simulation, bench, and field environments, covering functionality, performance, reliability, scalability, safety, and compliance with OEM standards
  • Oversee and mentor test engineers, field test engineers, and automation specialists to strengthen distributed systems testing, frameworks, and defect triage capability
  • Balance priorities between regression stability, milestone readiness, and new feature validation
  • Drive systematic defect reporting, prioritisation, and closure, ensuring full traceability to requirements
  • Lead investigations into complex system-level issues such as timing, data synchronization, and network reliability
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineers to align verification with business outcomes and embed testability into requirements
  • Represent verification progress, risks, and readiness at program-level reviews and decision gates
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks relating to safety, communications, real-time performance, and environmental durability, ensuring compliance with functional safety standards
  • Monitor system KPIs including uptime, fail-safe behaviour, and tolerance under degraded conditions
  • Establish verification KPIs, dashboards, and concise reporting on test execution, defect trends, readiness, and residual risks to support evidence-based Go/No-Go decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong systems engineering background with expertise in the verification of complex, distributed, safety-critical systems
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary verification teams
  • Deep understanding of autonomous mining systems, drive-by-wire platforms, and autonomy stacks
  • Practical knowledge of HIL, SIL, automated test frameworks, and large-scale field verification
  • Analytical problem-solving skills for real-time data and defect resolution
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
