Fortescue is looking for 2nd year through to penultimate year students for our Fortescue Vacation Program.

 

Our Vacation Program offers students the opportunity to learn in a practical and hands-on environment during your time with us. You will be paired with a specialist in your chosen field to provide professional supervision and mentoring. 

 

Successful applicants will work with us for 12 weeks over the summer break, where you’ll apply your academic skills to real life situations and can make a real difference.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be expected to demonstrate initiative by seeking out projects you believe will best showcase your capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Tertiary Engineering Studies 
  • Electrical/Process Control/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Process & Metallurgy/Mining/Civil
  • Technology & Autonomy/instrumentation/Environment & Sustainability
  • Hydrogeologist & Geologist
  • Health & Safety
  • Business (Commerce/Finance/Law)
  • Data/Cyber/AI

About You

 

  • High level evaluation and analysis skills
  • Problem solving, innovative thinking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with tight timeframes
  • Possess a positive attitude and the confidence and willingness to 'have a go'
  • Previous work experience (desirable)
