Our Opportunity

 

Work Location:      Perth  Fortescue Centre & Bennett Street - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday - site attendance for Major Shutdowns.

 

This position is responsible for the effective scoping, planning, and scheduling of all approved Transmission Shutdown work for Fortescue’s power transmission network equipment.  Fortescue currently owns a High Voltage Network that services 5 Operations sites along with countless other non-process infrastructure.  Reporting to the Planning Lead and working very closely with the Operational and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensuring that all Shutdown activities are carried out in compliance with relevant legislation and requirements and to achieve Energy Operations maintenance strategy
  • Plan and schedule approved Shutdown work orders and tasks, to ensure zero harm, and utilise equipment and resources to produce effective project schedules based on the Energy Operations maintenance strategy and budget
  • Management of all aspects of power station maintenance to ensure that repairs are completed safely, and efficiently
  • Liaise with Long Term Planning teams to identify Key Outage Milestones
  • Liaise with Long Term Planning teams to manage shutdown cost
  • Liaise with Maintenance teams and contractors to ensure the efficient usage of available resources and equipment
  • Review Shutdown performance and develop action plans to achieve improvement
  • Review and maintain the maintenance management system (SAP) to ensure that data collection and validation supports project reporting requirements
  • Review and maintain the maintenance management system (SAP) to ensure that Maintenance plans, Items and Task Lists are all continuously improved.
  • Ensure that mandatory inspections are scheduled and completed during appropriate shutdowns.
  • Minimise costs through efficient planning of labour, resources, and service. 
  • Head Meetings to all stakeholders updating Shutdown information for Future/Current and reviewing past Shutdowns

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Electrical trade qualification
  • Significant experience in a maintenance capacity, plus at least 2 years in a planning role (preferably planning shutdowns/projects)
  • Proven commitment to safety and zero harm
  • Ability to work with others to achieve objectives, team oriented
  • Good verbal, written and computer skills
  • Sound problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Knowledge and experience in computer maintenance management systems, e.g. SAP.
  • Knowledge of P6
