Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
The AI Learning Designer will design, develop and curate practical, contemporary learning experiences that build AI capability across Fortescue.The role will translate rapidly evolving AI concepts, tools and practices into accessible digital learning that team members can use at the point of need. This includes creating original learning assets as well as identifying and curating high-quality external content and integrating it into Fortescue’s learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop digital learning experiences across beginner, intermediate and advanced AI capability levels.
- Build eLearning, micro-learning, self-directed learning activities, videos, guides, toolkits, presentations and other digital learning assets.
- Create structured AI learning pathways that help team members progressively build capability.
- Curate relevant external content, including LinkedIn Learning pathways and other credible AI learning resources.
- Research emerging AI tools, practices and developments and rapidly translate these into relevant learning content for Fortescue.
- Manage and maintain AI learning content within the LXP, ensuring content remains current, easy to navigate and relevant.
- Map learning content against agreed AI capabilities, audiences and learning needs.
- Work with AI subject matter experts to translate technical information into clear, practical learning experiences.
- Design learning that supports application, experimentation and transfer into the workplace rather than simply building awareness.
- Use learner feedback, analytics and emerging capability needs to continually improve content and learning pathways.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong digital and instructional learning design capability.
- Demonstrated experience developing high-quality eLearning and digital learning assets.
- Experience working with LXPs, LMSs or similar digital learning environments.
- Strong visual communication and presentation design skills.
- Ability to research, synthesize and simplify complex and rapidly changing information.
- Strong understanding of contemporary adult learning and self-directed learning principles.
- Genuine interest in AI and an ability to stay current as the technology evolves.
- Experience with AI-enabled learning tools and content development platforms would be highly regarded.
- Comfortable working at pace and iterating content as technology and organizational needs change.
