Australia
Fortescue was born in Western Australia and has grown to include three main mining hubs in the Pilbara region, a 760 km heavy haul railway, and the Herb Elliott Port in Port Hedland. Our Australian operations also have a strong focus on green energy and decarbonisation efforts.
UK
The UK is home to the global headquarters of Fortescue Zero. With roots in motorsport, Fortescue Zero is primarily focused on researching and developing green technologies across the automotive, mobility, and mining industries.
Gabon
The Belinga Iron Ore Project is a partnership between Ivindo Iron, Fortescue, and the Gabonese government to responsibly develop a rich iron ore deposit in the Belinga range. We promote diversity through initiatives like the Belinga Women in Mining Group and offer training programs to build local skills and support long-term jobs.
Latin America
Fortescue is leading green hydrogen and renewable energy projects in Argentina and Brazil, and is also exploring new opportunities in other countries in the region. We’re conducting mining exploration initiatives across Latin America to help secure minerals essential for the green energy transition.
Fortescue’s strength lies in our vision. We don’t just aim to meet standards—we challenge ourselves daily to ask whether we are doing things the best way they can possibly be done. If not, we identify what needs to change and rise to the challenge. This year marks my tenth year with Fortescue, and I remain consistently optimistic about the direction we are heading.
